  1. First of all I want to thank all the people that wrote me.
  2. Their advises where very welcome.

  4. NEW in MacChess 2.0

  6. PLAYING STRENGTH

  8. By the implementation of the null-move, move ordering and extensions, the
  9. tactical plying strength is improved. Positional play and end games are
  10. still weak.

  14. File menu:
  15. Save Game: the used time is saved now.
  16. Save Board/ Print Board: it's now possible to give the board an ascii output.

  18. Level menu:
  19. Set Level: this window is totaly reorganised.
  20.  
  21. Options menu:
  22. Game Pause has a keyboard shortcut [command] H (halt).
  23. Take back Move: has now a keyboard shortcut [command] B.
  24.  
  25. Preferences menu:
  26. Openings Book/ Permanent Brain: this shows now a mark.
  27. Sound: the sound can be set on and off.
  28. Colour: black&white- or coloured pieces can be chosen.
  29. Pieces: there are four new chess-sets. Thanks to Heinrich E. Roescheisen, he
  30. gave permission to use his sets.
  31. The new sets are: Classical small, Cheq, Modern (2) and Zuerich.

  34. score: This shows now M4 instead of 29992.
  35. move: The moves witch MacChess is busy to search are not being showed if the
  36. search process is ready. The move number now goes up.
  37. eval.: In place of positions, evaluations where showed.

  39. PV window: This is made a bit larger and can show a variation of maximum 16
  40. moves (32 ply).

  42. Board: If MacChess played it's move, the piece that moved is blinking.
